Sometimes, and for no apparent reason, my vision would go blurred. where i cant focus on my newspaper. It is was very difficult to read! That was until i found out after an eye test. I need glasses for reading, is this going to happen to my wife too?, she is only 38.

Yes unfortunately your wife will require reading glasses in the future this due to age related changes as we age after 40+. The clinical term for this change is called Presbyopia.
